Windows Coming to a Chromebook Near You

Google, VMware, and NVIDIA have shown off VMware Blast Performance and NVIDIA GRID vGPU technology at VMworld 2014. Could this mean we'll be seeing the likes of Adobe and AutoCAD making their debuts on Google's operating system.

I guess this was just a matter of time for this to happen. Microsoft make be good at making money on old tech and it's Xbox but that aside it manufactures stuff that simply is a pain in the ass.

Will the likes of Apple be worried about this? With Android and Chrome being it's biggest threat to earnings. How would they stand with the creative contingent tempted away with cheaper machines - time will tell.

Take my advice, LG have got their house in order.

Flexible friend, the new display from LG will be mass produced later this year.

You've only got to look at this picture of the new flexible display from LG to realise that the next big thing in regards to mobile phones is waiting just around the corner.

LG has seemed to be the poor mans Samsung in the past but they have been plugging away inventing all kinds of stuff and dare I say it - thinking out of the box.

Recently in the press, LG touted the new LG G2 with a button on the rear of the phone to get over the problem of small hand/large handset, pretty neat. It doesn't stop there, the new G2 will have a whopping 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery - nice.

As we all know LG, make the Google Nexus 4. Fans of this device should hope and pray that LG base the next Nexus handset on the G2. I know present Nexus 4 owners have had the upper hand over the iPhone 5 with it's wireless charging, face unlock and NFC tech.

Let's hope LG can deliver a great phone for a low Nexus price next time Google decide to launch a new handset.

HTC DLX (Droid DNA) Butterfly and the UK market.

Look at it! Go on look at it.
The HTC DLX, DNA DROID, BUTTERFLY J, no matter what you call it this phone is sexy. It's already been released in Japan (as the Butterfly J, nice name) and will soon be winging its way across to Verizon in the United States and allegedly named the DNA Droid.

This makes me ask the question, when will it be settling in the UK? This beast of a phone will be pitched up against the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note II as it has a whopping 5 inch touch screen! But wait for it - this packs a massive 440ppi - better than anything in the market at the moment.

Now, I'm in the market for a new phone (iPhone 4 has slowed to a snail's pace) and have thought about the SGN2 and then this baby popped up, so I thought it best to give HTC a call and ask them if I should spend my money with Samsung or wait for the Butterfly to land. They were very polite and paused for a while when I asked the Samsung-loaded question. At that point I knew she smelled something fishy and said that the US phone will work on the UK network.

Tantalisingly close, but as of yet, nish.

ASUS PadFone 2: Behind The Scenes

ASUS' world-renowned 'Design Thinking' philosophy has significantly reduced PadFone 2 Station's thickness and weight. At just 649g, the combined weight of both PadFone 2 and PadFone 2 Station is now lighter than most tablets on the market, and the dock mechanism has been redesigned to require just one swift step to use.
Who will be getting one of these?

New Google Nexus Phone To Be Made By.....

LG?

HTC?

LG?

Sony?

Sony?

With so many rumours on the net about the next Google Nexus Android Phone I thought I'd gather up a few images circulating around.

For my two-penneths worth I'd take a punt at the LG model. I guess Samsung has got too big for it's boots and wants to go it alone without the Google branding, so Google has plumped for the next biggest Korean phone manufacturer LG.

I'm not so sure they can come up with the goods but I'm not buying a new phone until this phone is released - then I'll make my mind up between this, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

PS I have only had Apple phones in the past - I can only see this as exciting.

TekTek - So good they named it twice!

Red Bull Space Jump Stats from UK Mobile Human Monitoring Company

UK Mobile Human Monitoring Company, Equivital are the brains that are gathering the stats from the death-defying Red Bull sapce jump by Austrian Felix Baumgartner.

The team were able to measure in real-time Felix's ECG, heart rate, body temperature, and acceleration whilst he travelled at supersonic speeds through the stratosphere.

The information gathered will be used to fuel innovation in future human performance.

Here is a video of the free-fall taken from Felix's POV as he goes into a spin miles above the Earth.
