HTC DLX (Droid DNA) Butterfly and the UK market.

Look at it! Go on look at it.
The HTC DLX, DNA DROID, BUTTERFLY J, no matter what you call it this phone is sexy. It's already been released in Japan (as the Butterfly J, nice name) and will soon be winging its way across to Verizon in the United States and allegedly named the DNA Droid.

This makes me ask the question, when will it be settling in the UK? This beast of a phone will be pitched up against the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note II as it has a whopping 5 inch touch screen! But wait for it - this packs a massive 440ppi - better than anything in the market at the moment.

Now, I'm in the market for a new phone (iPhone 4 has slowed to a snail's pace) and have thought about the SGN2 and then this baby popped up, so I thought it best to give HTC a call and ask them if I should spend my money with Samsung or wait for the Butterfly to land. They were very polite and paused for a while when I asked the Samsung-loaded question. At that point I knew she smelled something fishy and said that the US phone will work on the UK network.

Tantalisingly close, but as of yet, nish.

ASUS PadFone 2: Behind The Scenes

ASUS' world-renowned 'Design Thinking' philosophy has significantly reduced PadFone 2 Station's thickness and weight. At just 649g, the combined weight of both PadFone 2 and PadFone 2 Station is now lighter than most tablets on the market, and the dock mechanism has been redesigned to require just one swift step to use.
Who will be getting one of these?

New Google Nexus Phone To Be Made By.....

LG?

HTC?

LG?

Sony?

Sony?

With so many rumours on the net about the next Google Nexus Android Phone I thought I'd gather up a few images circulating around.

For my two-penneths worth I'd take a punt at the LG model. I guess Samsung has got too big for it's boots and wants to go it alone without the Google branding, so Google has plumped for the next biggest Korean phone manufacturer LG.

I'm not so sure they can come up with the goods but I'm not buying a new phone until this phone is released - then I'll make my mind up between this, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

PS I have only had Apple phones in the past - I can only see this as exciting.

TekTek - So good they named it twice!

For up-to-date news, reviews and comment on todays and tomorrows tech. Keep it TekTek.

Apple to launch 13-inch retina next week?

Apple may have a second trick up their sleeve next week when they call on us once again to look at their new wares.

Apple should be releasing the new "iPad Mini", the long awaited near 7-inch iPad. But also they may launch a new laptop - the 13-inch retina display MacBook Pro.

If it is launch it will follow in the footsteps of it's larger 15-inch compadre (launched in June) and sport a flash-only storage device further killing off the optical devices in the Mac product range although a stand alone device is still available in the Apple Store if needed.

This small bad-boy will have a Thunderbolt port and run a few screens all at the same time. Could this be the only Mac you need?
